Hey Reader, A couple days ago, I got this email from Sascha, a student in the A&P 2 course, and I wanted to share it because it's the kind of message that reminds me why I'm building this course the way I am. "...a MUCH less stressful term." That's what I want for all of you taking A&P next semester. That's why I'm building this course and working to make it the best course possible. Here are a few things that stood out to me about Sascha's email: First, she just woke up, grabbed her iPad, and decided to see what actually stuck. That's what happens when you use effective learning strategies: you're not afraid to test yourself because you know you've forgotten everything; instead, you're confident enough in what you know that you're curious to check. Second, look at what she actually did to test herself: she drew it out from memory. Sketching a diagram from memory, then checking it against your notes, is one of the best ways to study. It's harder than just rereading, but it's also one of the most effective ways to actually lock information in. In that particular lesson, I have a "practice session" video where we sketch it out together. She also mentioned that having the structure already built out "about halves my mental workload." Half the work of studying is figuring out exactly what to do to study. But my course takes care of that for you. Now, it doesn't actually do the learning for you, of course. You still have to do the mental work of doing the practice (and anyone who tells you that you can learn deeply without much mental effort is lying). If you've been wondering whether this course actually translates into real results, I hope this helps answer that. 👉🏼 Learn more and enroll here Don't miss the enrollment window though! Enrollment closes tomorrow (Monday, August 17th at 11:59pm CDT). Hope to see you in the course :) -Justin P.S. If you want to see everything Sascha remembered from the first two lessons, here's what she sketched out on her iPad that morning: |
